Founder & Director, Sharon Graham
Sharon Graham, M.M., MT-BC, is a Music Therapist-Board Certified and founder and director of TBIMT. She received her master's degree in music therapy from the Florida State University, is a certified NICU Music Therapist (credentialed NICU-MT), Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT), and has a variety of clinical experience.
Education and advocacy are important functions of TBIMT. To that end, our director maintains a clinical internship training program and is a frequent presenter at regional and national music therapy conferences. Sharon is also an invited lecturer for medical conferences and colleges. She serves as co-chair for the Florida Music Therapy Task Force and represents Florida music therapists with the Coalition for the Exceptional Education of Students (CEES). Music Therapist-Board Certified, Cecelia Varnum
Cecelia Graham, MT-BC, NMT, received her music therapy degree from Florida State University with honors. She completed her internship at TBIMT and has previous clinical experience in hospice care and exceptional education. Prior to joining TBIMT, she worked for two years with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice in various roles, helping girls in both prevention and rehabilitation programs. Cece has a passion for working with teenagers who are recovering from abuse and trauma. She is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association and a Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). Music Therapist-Board Certified, Eric Ervast
Eric Ervast, M.M., MT-BC, NICU-MT, received his bachelor's and master's degrees in music therapy from Florida State University. He completed his internship at University of Kentucky HealthCare and has a background in primarily medical and pediatric music therapy with a variety of additional clinical experience. Prior to joining TBIMT, he provided music therapy services to patients at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and to individuals and groups in the Tallahassee Community. Eric has a passion for working with infants and children in a variety of settings, and is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association. [Board Certification Number: *12444]
Music Therapist-Board Certified, Chandler Sawyers
Chandler Sawyers, MT-BC, received his music therapy degree from University of Alabama with honors. He completed his internship at TBIMT and has previous clinical experience in medical settings, including with premature infants in the NICU. Prior to joining TBIMT, he worked in Dallas/Fort Worth with Heart & Harmony Music Therapy in substance abuse and rehabilitation programs. Chandler has a passion for working with individuals who are recovering from substance abuse. He is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association and is completing his certification to be a NICU Music Therapist (NICU MT). [Board Certification Number: *12963]
Community Support Specialist, Cornelius Douglas
Cornelius Douglas is a creative and dedicated student at Polk State College who enjoys helping people. As a Community Support Specialist, he assists veterans with disabilities in accomplishing their desired goals and activities within the community. Cornelius also volunteers his time tutoring and mentoring young students in Polk County.
Music Therapy Intern, Bethanie Aylor
Bethanie Aylor, MTI, has completed her music therapy coursework at West Virginia University with honors. She comes to her internship at TBIMT with previous clinical experience in correctional facilities, medical settings, and exceptional education. Bethanie has a passion for working with adults who are in corrections. She completed a study abroad clinical training program in Thailand with Dr.s Dena Register and Russell Hilliard, and she is a student member of the American Music Therapy Association. She is excited to grow in new ways and expand her skills with TBIMT.
